Performing Arts: The Ins & Outs of Making a Show (Annie JR.)

SAVE THE DATE:

On the last day of camp, Friday, July 17th, students will perform an Annie JR. scene study for families in our drama classroom starting at 3:30PM.

ABOUT:

Join us for this one-week workshop on the Ins and Outs of Making a Show with a focus on Annie JR. In addition to studying selected scenes, students will have the opportunity to work on their vocal performance, and learn choreography for two iconic songs. Students will also explore set design, costuming, expert how-to’s on blocking & notes, and singing in character. This workshop is designed for students of all levels to learn something new and fun!

ITEMS TO BRING:

  • Pencil/Pen for notes

  • A packed lunch

  • 1-2 snacks,

  • Water bottle

  • Appropriate clothes and shoes for dancing as well as playing outside

  • Sunscreen for outside time during lunch

    We will study art in nature and create some masterpieces of our own. Nature provides some of the most beautiful art we could ever enjoy; think: flowers, trees, clouds, mountains, sunshine, and stars! 

    Potential Artist Study: Claude Monet. & Vincent Van Gogh
    Potential Style Study: Impressionism and Post-Impressionism
    Potential Mediums Used: Drawing, Painting…and more to come

    While the camp week themes will never change, the specifics of each camp will continue to evolve as we curate the perfect experience for your young artists

  • 5 days - $325
    9:30am-3:30pm

    We will learn all about animals in art: artists that enjoyed painting and drawing animals and different opportunities for artists today who love animals! We will learn about animal illustration and even invite a few animals to come visit us in the art studio!

    Please note, we are so excited to have booked “My Reptile Guys” on Thursday, June 18th at 10am. We just want you to be aware there will be live animals in the classroom on this day.

    Potential Artist Study: Grandma Moses, Frida Kahlo, & John James Audubon
    Potential Style Study: Surrealism, Realism, and Naïve folk art, and Magic Realism.
    Potential Mediums Used: Painting, Drawing, Cardboard…and more to come

  • If the weather is nice students will enjoy lunch in the courtyard and some fun outdoor play time.

Medication Authorization

We do not have a medical professional on site, but will administer a limited number of needed medications to your student, provided the parent/guardian completes the Medication Authorization form linked above. Medicine must be in the original container with your child's name marked on it.
