How my dog got a mustache.

Being married to a man in marketing, I have the distinct privilege of getting free advice whenever I like (and ask nicely of course). And once in a while I get the opportunity to reciprocate as he comes up with fun and creative ideas to promote his hospital, Gwinnett Medical Center (GMC). Last month, the month of No Shave November (aka Movember), GMC did a cross promotional event with the Gwinnett Gladiators, our local hockey team, to encourage men to get their PSA test. 'Stache Bash 2013, as it was called, brought photo booths, hipster T-shirts and awareness to the people...and lots and lots of facial hair to boot!

I was visiting my husband at work earlier in the planning process and he asked me to read over his proposal. Everything he was planning for the event sounded great.  (Biases aside: My husband is wonderful at his job, and I have the blessing of being married to a man who loves what he does.) I saw one key missing component though: Mustaches for the people!

Why should men be the only ones basking in the glory mustaches bring? The nods from fellow mustachers and wistful glances of those who wish they could grow one. No longer creepy, the mustache is hip. So, I suggested the 'Stache Stick and to my surprise, GMC actually had them printed for everyone attending the event!

Here to the model the lovely and hip 'Stache Stick is Grady. Puppies too enjoy a good 'stache. You can learn more about Gwinnett Medical Center and PSA testing here.
