Hand Painted Invitations & Calligraphy
Spring is here! (Ok..almost here!!) It is such a wonderful and fun time of year and it definitely makes me think of weddings (including my own)! I have the privilege of knowing several brides to be right now in the midst of their planning. It has been so much fun to help them and paint for a few of them too! I recently created my first line of Wedding/Bridal Shower Invitations. Originally painted for my sister-in-law, Toshie, I now get the honor of sharing them with so many of you!! I painted this mint & coral "Celebrate" invitation to go along with Toshie's color scheme. I love the combination of flowers and polka dots. Combined with her colors, it looks so fresh and pretty!
I digitally scanned the painted card. I decided to photoshop over the "Celebrate" I had painted, to add customizability to the invitation and allow the fonts to be more consistent throughout. I then added "Celebrate" back in digitally, along with all the text. I purchased A7 Kraft paper envelopes to compliment the fresh and light design. I love the contrast of the brown envelope with the floral invitation. I even had the opportunity to play around with Calligraphy styles while addressing the envelopes! The Vintage Seed Packet USPS Forever Stamps completed the whole look perfectly! You can now customize these invitations and purchase them here in my Etsy store!!
